Overview

Hæbâ Velûbu̹ Gûchya was founded durring the late 15th century in spring of the year 1378, by Fyêthèj. The establishment of Hæbâ Velûbu̹ Gûchya was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Hæbâ Velûbu̹ Gûchya's construction back out of the project. Fyêthèj pushed on reguardles, and Hæbâ Velûbu̹ Gûchya was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Hæbâ Velûbu̹ Gûchya was built using the conventions of Rattu durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Hæbâ Velûbu̹ Gûchya is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Hæbâ Velûbu̹ Gûchya is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of spacious packed earth streets which form octogonal paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The city sits behind a stone-renforced palisade wall, with stone gatehouses and timber drawbridges for their trench. Hæbâ Velûbu̹ Gûchya's would-be-castle fortifications are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

A look around Hæbâ Velûbu̹ Gûchya has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scuttling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s all of those things together, or perhaps it's the way these elements combine with the simple fact that it is abundantly clear Hæbâ Velûbu̹ Gûchya suffered something horrible some time ago. It's as if the town itself is depressed. Smiles are few, cheer is nowhere to be had. Everyone quietly goes about their daily business not looking anyone in the eye. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Hæbâ Velûbu̹ Gûchya long.

History

Hæbâ Velûbu̹ Gûchya is in secret rebellion against their ostensible liege, having cut deals with his enemies, plotted to betray him for their own gain, or bridled under his tyranny and sought a better lord. The community’s leadership is all in on this plot, and outside viceroys or representatives are being kept carefully ignorant of the reality. The common folk may be oblivious to the truth, though they’ll doubtless have felt the same motivations and promptings that convinced their leaders to turn traitor.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century the Kami ended a famine plaguing Hæbâ Velûbu̹ Gûchya. One of Hæbâ Velûbu̹ Gûchya's local festivals commemorates this miracle.
